These have been my favorite pens forever. Unfortunately something has changed...the ink now takes way too long to dry. And it's not that I am getting any faster at writing, I am in my 80's and slowing down.Now I have to be very careful when I use them because almost always I smear the ink by accidentally resting my hand on it or putting another paper on top of it before it is completely dried. I have had to use so many extra envelopes because the ink gets smeared as I am addressing the envelope. I do not know why they changed the way they make their gel/ink, but this new recipe formula is horrible. "The old fountain pens I used to use dried faster. I suspect feather quills did too, but I am not old enough to be sure of that.
